I ordered one of these for delivery. It arrived in the nastiest smelling box ever - it stunk up the entire main floor of my house. Never smelled a smell like that before - like musty / wet / mold with a sprinkle of dried grass (?). Allergy sufferers beware.
We unpacked it right away to get rid of smell. Cabinet was the filthiest piece of furniture I have ever seen: piles of dirt, dust and tiny pieces of garbage inside and behind each drawer, as well as inside the cabinet. The top has stained hand prints all over the top of it, where it's painted white.
Took me 4+ hours to take it apart, scrub, scrub, and scrub again, then put it back together. Could not fully remove the hand prints, so will be adding a fresh coat of paint.
It's unbelievable to me that a brand new item would arrive in this condition. We didn't purchase from the 'extremely filthy & possibly termite inhabited discount bin'.
We purchased 'NEW'.
The only reason we didn't return it is because arranging the shipping is even more hassle.
